i'm just wondering if wearing contacts on the plane for around 14 hours in high altitude is bad for your eyes or anything

I've done it with no problems. If you take them out to sleep you want to be careful not to drop them.

I do...but take them out as soom as they become uncomfortable , which is after a couple of hours, also obviously you are not meant to sleep inthem so probably all round not a good idea and take glasses as backup.
